VAITE Cascara Sagrada Gummies

I've taken these Cascara Sagrada gummies several times. As mentioned by others, cascara sagrada is intended as a laxative. It's somewhat concerning to read that over 20 years ago in 2002, the FDA reclassified casara sagrada in such a way that forbids over-the-counter laxatives using the ingredient to be sold. Though, it still seems allowed in supplements. It's probably a good idea to do some research to see if these are right for you.Otherwise, the gummies do taste pretty good, and go down quickly. I haven't gotten sick from eating these, although I'm not adventurous enough to take them every day.

I had originally wanted to test this for its psyllium husk content but now after becoming aware of the main effect of Cascara, I will only be testing this should I ever experience the need for a laxative.I don't have much else input since I am not in need for a laxative right now but am obligated to leave a review. Packaging is on par for this type of generic brand product. It's sugar free, may cause GI discomfort, and shouldn't be taken by anyone with GI conditions like Crohn's or IBS. I strongly suggest looking up on Cascara before buying as the supplement seems to have a checkered history when it comes to the FDA.
